2016 "Suisassi" IGP, Azienda Vitivinicola Duemani 

Syrah 2016 ist reich und ausdrucksstark. Das Bouquet überzeugt mit Aromen von Salbei, Rosmarin, wilden Blumen, Lakritze, Veilchen und Pflaumen. Am Gaumen sehr voll und rund mit Erinnerungen an Beeren, Schokolade und Nüsse. Elegant und intellektuell.

„Funkelndes Rubin, dunkler Kern. Nach rotem Pfeffer und zerstoßenen Koriandersamen, etwas Zitronenzesten, dann fleischige Kirsche und Zwetschke. Intensive Gewürznoten am Gaumen, kraftvolles, dichtes Tannin, viel Tabak, im Finale dann sehr verschlossen, etwas trocknend.“

The Syrah takes very well to 20 months in oak, retaining a freshness and fruity sweetness to accompany the spice. The mouthfeel is velvety and rich. In the end, this is a fine and elegant expression of Syrah that I could envision serving with a creamy steak au poivre.“
