2016 "Scharzhofberger" Riesling trocken GG,
Weingut VAN VOLXEM
The Riesling opens with seriously concentrated and flinty fruit and crunchy slate aromas. On the palate, this is a lean, straight, elegant but complex and very mineral with remarkable purity, length and freshness. There are crunchy slate flavors and very fine tannins in the finish. This 2016 is still tight and discreet but very promising.
