The 2017 Wehlener Sonnenuhr GG Alte Reben displays the typical generous, tropical fruit flavors but in a very elegant, nicely concentrated and spicy way and with a yeasty layer from the élevage. On the palate, this is a fresh, pure, elegant and very complex version of the famous site, and the finish is not just vital and tensioned but also enormously salty and impressively persistent.
