The 2016 Ried Kranachberg Sauvignon Blanc GSTK is super clear, cool, precise and fresh on the very flinty, spicy, bright and elegant nose. Full-bodied, intense and dense on the palate, this is a concentrated and powerful Sauvignon with a very long, complex finish with lingering salinity and freshness. With the combination of power, intensity and concentration on the one hand and purity, mineral freshness and coolish fruit flavors on the other, this is one of the greatest Karachberg Sauvignons I have tasted. Very limited quantities. The wine is rare due to the April frost in 2016 but worth trying to find. Bottled in March 2018 and tasted in July, this was set to be released in September of this year.

Falstaff:
Helles Gelbgrün, Silberreflexe. Rauchige, dunkle Kräuterwürze, Nuancen von Grapefruit, feiner Mangotouch, mineralisches Bukett, braucht etwas Luft, un sich zu öffnen. Komplex, stoffig, sehr druckvoll, feine salzige Mineralität, ein sehr facettenreicher, leichtfüßig wirkender Stil, großes Zukunftspotenzial.
