2016
Grand Cru
2016 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Combettes,
Domaine Leflaive
Wine Spectator:
A lean style, with fine concentration to the apple, white peach, lemon zest and baking spice flavors. There is energy and a tactile sensation on the long, hazelnut- and mineral-tinged aftertaste.
Decanter:
This Combettes is lovely, with considerable amplitude and mid-palate weight. It opens in the glass with aromas of apple, pear, dried flowers and hazelnut. The wine is glossy and textural, with nice balance and a moderately long, flavourful finish. This is also quite precocious and should drink well after just a few years’ bottle age. Drinking Window 2022 - 2035.
