2011 Montrachet Grand Cru, Domaine Ponsot
The nose is quite firmly reduced and the underlying fruit is entirely masked. By contrast the detailed and highly energetic big-bodied flavors are very fresh, vibrant and gorgeously textured with almost painful intensity before culminating in an explosive, palate staining and remarkably persistent finish. This is a complete baby at present with superb development potential that should age beautifully for years to come, indeed one that is going to require plenty of patience
