2016 "Kieselberg" Riesling trocken GG, Weingut von Winning

There is ripe fruit on the nose, but not quite as tropical as on some of von Winning’s other Grosse Gewächse. Aromatic nuances of butterscotch and caramel reflect ripeness as well as the presence of oak. On the tip of the tongue the fruit is sweet, a hint of vanilla and voluptuous body adding to the seductive arsenal of the Kieselberg. A wine full of embrace, but with very little grip.
