Château Pape Clément 2009: ein sehr reicher Pessac-Léognan
Der Château Pape Clément, ein Grand Cru Classé de Graves, wird in der Appellation Pessac-Léognan hergestellt. Der 50 Hektar Weinberg ist auf lehmhaltigen Kiesböden der Pyrenäen angepflanzt. Die Weinlese begann am 24. September. Der Ausbau des Weines erfolgt 18 Monate in Eichenfässern. Der Château Pape Clément 2009 geht aus einer Assemblage von 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot und 5% Cabernet Franc hervor.

Der Château Pape Clément 2009 präsentiert eine unglaubliche Struktur und prächtige Tannine. Er entwickelt in der Nase charakteristische Düfte seines Terroirs, und entfaltet Noten von verbrannter Erde, Graphit, Heidelbeere, Brombeere und Vanille. Dieser Wein ist recht vollmundig und sehr reich. Er kann ab sofort und bis 2040 konsumiert werden.

Medium to deep garnet colored, the 2009 Pape Clement struts flamboyantly out of the glass, featuring beautifully opulent preserved black fruits, Morello cherries and Chinese five spice with underlying notions of truffles, iron ore and tobacco plus a waft of sandalwood. Full-bodied, the voluptuous fruit has a firm foundation of super ripe, grainy tannins and bags of freshness supporting layer upon layer of black fruit, exotic spices and earth-laced flavors, finishing very long.
