2011 Château Latour 1er Grand Cru Classe,
Pauillac AOC, Château Latour  

Falstaff: 
Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung, schwarze Beeren, Nuancen von Lakritze und Brombeerkonfit, feine Anklänge von Orangenzesten, florale Noten, reife Beerenfrucht. Kräftig, sehr fest und präsente Tannine, schwarze Beerenfrucht, feine Nougatanklänge, dunkle Mineralik, rassige Säurestruktur, Bitterschokolade im Nachhall, etwas sperrig im Abgang, monolithischer Stil.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
The nose demands coaxing from the glass with introspective dark berry fruit, mineral, graphite and just a hint of cedar. The palate is classic Latour with tensile tannins in the driving seat and the fruit residing in the passenger. It has finely tuned acidity that lends it freshness and tension. There is superb minerality towards the finish but it retains that strictness and focus without blinking. If you love Latour, you will love the 2011. (NM)

Jancis Robinson:
Intensely Cabernet on the nose. Cool and aloof. Very round tannins and extremely dry and mineral on the end. The opposite of flashy. But in the end very complete, satisfying and true to Latour. So appetising and digestible it could almost be drunk now. Not a massive or showy wine in any way but very long and moderate (rather than modest). Certainly dry but not drying. Tannins well modulated.(JR) 

James Suckling:
The nose is complex, featuring smoke, meat and hints of wood, with currants, olives and berries underneath. Full body with super-velvety tannins. The strong acidity gives the wine an edginess. Love the spicy, subtly fruity finish. Steely.
